This week on Office Ladies 6.0 the ladies are interviewing Allison Jones! Allison was the casting director for “The Office” and helped cast “The Office” characters that we know and love today. Allison shares how she got into casting and her memories of helping Greg Daniels assemble this great cast. The ladies share some audition stories, Allison reminisces on some of her favorite “Office” memories and of course, Allison talks about working in casting with Phyllis Smith before Phyllis was cast on “The Office.” Enjoy!

This week the ladies chat with Catherine Tate! Catherine played the confidently bold and opportunistic Nellie Bertram who briefly usurped the role of regional manager when Andy skipped town. This week the ladies interview Bob Odenkirk! Bob is well known for acting in Better Call Saul, Breaking Bad and Mr. Show, along with writing great comedy sketches like “Motivational Speaker”. Bob also auditioned for the role of Michael Scott and later played Mark Franks in “The Office” episode “Moving On”. The ladies ask Bob about his Michael Scott audition experience and what it was like to play Mark Franks on the show including his guitar song to Pam. They also talk about acting, writing, and performing live sketch comedy. This episode is a treat, enjoy! 

This week the ladies chat with Phyllis Smith! Phyllis played our loveable, snarky sales rep who was also the second half of Bob Vance of Vance Refrigeration. The ladies bond over some of their personal favorite “Office” moments which includes a scene both Phyllis and Steve Carell couldn’t get through. Phyllis also talks about her upcoming movie “Inside Out 2” where she plays the voice of Sadness. Beth played Helen in “Speed” and shares what it was like to act alongside Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock in a runaway bus on the 105 freeway. Beth shares how much the script changed since her audition and how making a mistake during a take was a huge ordeal, like 300 cars having to all turn around ordeal. We learn firsthand what it was like to work on “Speed” and of course, the ladies and Beth reminisce on Beth playing Dwight’s babysitter in “Dinner Party”.
